Splitting:

Splitting:

When we cannot make space for the diversity of humanity + perspective, we tend to split off into a “pure” group that agrees with our way of seeing life. After forming our pure community there is a profound sense of peace and purpose that creates deep connection and unity within the new group. The problem arises, however after the split passes and our feelings of unity coming from being collectively against “THEM” fade and lose their power to hide the countless other complexities and differences that exist within our Pure group. Having already sacrificed for the sake of purity, it is only a matter of time groups will split off again, forming a new even purer - purity group. And so on until everyone has reverted either to their little tribe or family or even to total isolation.
